| Housework tips that work!
Free up your valuable time by following these simple but effective
timesaving hints and tips on performing housework.
Breaking housework down into small chunks makes the tasks feel less
daunting. Performing housework little and often (20 minutes here and
there) rather than playing catch up for hours each weekend means it
feels like the household chores take no time at all.
Okay, if you live alone this is easier said than done (unless you
can afford to pay for a cleaner). But living with others means that
each week chores can be shared out between yourselves - making the
whole idea of housework less challenging and more time effective.
Leave the ironing! Don't do the ironing in one marathon session. Leave
the ironing until the night before you want to wear something. Then
iron those items only. This way you only iron the clothes you need.
Conservative estimates suggest that the average person living in Britain
wastes over 3 weeks each year washing dishes! So if you haven't already
buy a dishwasher.
If there is anything more boring than shopping for food each Saturday
I don't know of it. Instead of wasting time trawling the aisle of
supermarkets and then queuing for hour upon hour each month buy your
food online. Many of your favourite supermarkets (M & S, Tesco,
Waitrose, Sainsbury's etc) have excellent online shopping stores where
they sell all the items you'd find on their shelves.
Pay your gas, electric, water, council tax and phone bills via direct
debit. Many utilities companies reward direct debit payers with discounts
of up yo 10% as well!
